The official register of normative instruments published under the Digital Presence Integrity Framework. Start with the DPIF White Paper (v1.3) for a complete overview of the framework's purpose, scope, and governance model.
DPIF instruments are the normative documents that give effect to the framework's seven governance pillars. Each instrument addresses a specific aspect of digital presence governance — from risk classification to deployment lifecycle management. The Control Model v1.1 is the apex document from which all other instruments derive their authority.
All instruments carry Normative status (approved and in effect). The hierarchy flows from the Control Model to its Annexes, then to Specifications that implement specific control requirements, and finally to Assessment Instruments used for compliance evaluation.
Seven instruments are currently published under DPIF. They are listed below in normative hierarchy order: the Control Model (apex), followed by its Annex, Specifications, and Assessment Instruments.
Control Model | Normative | v1.1 | Published 11 March 2026 — The apex governance document. Defines the seven control requirements, contextual and systemic controls, the SPC maturity model, and the DRRP deployment lifecycle. All other DPIF instruments derive authority from this document.
Annex | Normative | v1.0 | Published 11 March 2026 — Classifies deployment contexts by risk level to determine applicable control thresholds under CR-5.1.
Specification | Normative | v1.0 | Published 11 March 2026 — Specifies the end-to-end lifecycle for deploying and managing digital representations, implementing Control Model Section 8.
Specification | Normative | v1.0 | Published 11 March 2026 — Provides structured pathways for resolving conflicts between overlapping DRRP deployments representing the same principal.
Assessment Instrument | Normative | v1.0 | Published 11 March 2026 — Defines the scoring methodology for assessing compliance with DPIF controls using the SPC maturity model. Used alongside the Control Checklist.
Specification | Normative | v1.0 | Published 11 March 2026 — Addresses governance requirements when a principal becomes incapacitated or deceased, including consent delegation and authority transfer protocols.
Assessment Instrument | Normative | v1.0 | Published 11 March 2026 — Provides a structured checklist for systematically evaluating DRRP deployments against all seven DPIF control requirements. Used alongside the Scoring Rubric.
These instruments operate within the seven governance pillars defined by the DPIF Control Model. To understand how each instrument relates to the broader governance structure, consult the Control Model v1.1 or read the DPIF White Paper v1.3 for a comprehensive introduction.
